Surprising Benefits of Author Visits

As students arrive at my Bugs and Blooms and Insects Make WHAT?! programs, Abee and I go around and greet the students.
At the end of Friday's author visit one of the staff members let me know that a child who is terrified of bees reached out and pet Abee.
It's not only books that can help children overcome fears. Abee, a giant honey bee, can help, too!
